Celtics fan from all over had their hearts break on Tuesday night when one of the team’s biggest off-season acquisitions went down with a gruesome injury only 5 minutes and 12 seconds into the season. It was instantly apparent that Gordon Hayward would be out for all (or most of) this season, and the Celtics’ chances at making a run at the Cavs in the East were greatly reduced. So what happens now? Dr. Andrew Horton gives you a glimpse of what exactly happened to the 27-year-old small forward’s ankle and tibia when he went down, and what the surgery to fix it and rehabilitation will look like. We are sending Gordon are well wishes and hope to see him back healthy, strong, and better than ever when he returns.
